We buy these raw materials directly from local farmers \u2013 grain purchasing is a core part of our business, not a side activity. For products such as rice we work with certified suppliers from abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grain purchasing all year round<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At our plant in I\u0142ownica we buy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>barley,<\/li>\n\n\n<li>oats,<\/li>\n\n\n<li>wheat,<\/li>\n\n\n<li>rye,<\/li>\n\n\n<li>peas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We buy throughout the year, not only at harvest time. Farmers can deliver grain with their own transport, or we collect it directly from the farm. We offer prices updated on an ongoing basis, prompt payments and the option of long-term cooperation and contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why it matters to B2B customers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Short supply chain<\/strong> \u2013 grain goes from the field straight to our plant, where we process it on site.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Known origin<\/strong> \u2013 our cereals come from Polish, mostly local farms.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Quality from the start<\/strong> \u2013 our laboratory checks every batch from the moment it arrives.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Stable supply<\/strong> \u2013 our own silos and warehouses let us store raw material and plan production ahead.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Long-term relationships with growers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We build lasting relationships with the farmers who supply us. After the harvest we run the KROS Harvest contest (Konkurs \u017bniwa KROS), with prizes drawn among our grain suppliers. We also test new varieties with seed companies \u2013 for example, together with IGP Polska we checked how the barley varieties Aleksandra and Finezja perform in groats production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A family company from Pomerania<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KROS has been operating continuously since 1994, and in I\u0142ownica since 2001. Since 2002 we have been a sheltered employment establishment, creating jobs for people with disabilities. Today we employ 55 people. KROS has been honoured with business awards including Gazele Biznesu, Forbes Diamonds and the Family Business Forum.
